Titanic Leaves Belfast 2

Titanic leaving Belfast, April 1912.

Although not all are shown here, five Harland & Wolff tugs were used to carefully guide Titanic down the deepwater channel of Belfast Lough on 2 April 1912.  Crowds gathered to watch her passage.

"Titanic – the largest vessel in the world – floated proudly on the water, a monument to the enterprise of her owners and the ingenuity and skill of the eminent firm who built her".

Belfast News-Letter, 3 April 1912
