1st Class Parlour Suite Bathroom

First class bathroom in parlour suite.

First class bathroom in parlour suite.

The rich furnishings of the staterooms and parlour suites were designed to reinforce a sense of entitlement.  The parlour suites reserved for the ultra rich opened onto a private promenade deck. Their bathrooms were finished in the most modern style of the times, complete with showers, bath tubs and double sinks.

"The Titanic also contains special suites of rooms, consisting of bedrooms, sitting room, bathroom and servants’ room, and these will have their own private promenade, shut off from the rest of the ship, and not overlooked by other passengers."
